I love Boston one million times more when the sun is out. The weekend presented an opportunity too good to pass up, so this sleepy girl left her cave for a sunny walk around the neighborhood and a stop for some cupcakes…

Birthday weeks always remind me how incredibly lucky I am to have such wonderful and caring people in my life. Some snapshots from a couple celebrations this week… linking up with a {little} dash of ash!
Happy Saturday! I’m a guest over at Macarons and Pearls today, sharing some of my favorite nail polish colors + trends for an installment of Ivana’s Nail Polish Diaries! Meet me there?
On this fine Friday’s Fancies, we’ve got dream destinations on our mind. Surprisingly enough, despite Boston’s chilly and rainy weather outside, I’m not fantasizing about a tropical location, but instead a city just about as weather-dreary as the one I’m already in…
I don’t care what the temperature is over there, I’m itching to go. Have been ever since I first visited three years ago. And what would I wear to my dream destination?
Drybrook Dress, Jack Wills, $138
Cross-Continent Weekender, Anthropologie, $178
Oxfords, Born, $95
Sunglasses, Burberry, $230
Midnight in London Necklace, ModCloth, $20
Sweet Zinnia Ring, Kate Spade, $98
I’ve got my fingers cross for a chance to get back there soon. For now though, I’m just as happy having that Cross-Continent Weekender on this side of the Atlantic [thanks Mom!] 🙂
And for any of you like me who aren’t jet-setting anywhere out of their own city anytime soon, you must check out urbantag! It’s a new foursquare-esqu interactive site that allows you to map out your favorite places to shop, eat, play, etc. for others to see. If you’re Boston-based, check out my map of where to look your loveliest in my lovely city.
As a Valentine treat to myself + roomies, I made one of my favorite desserts last weekend, cake pops! I didn’t use a recipe per se, just this video and what’s on the back of a box of Funfetti cake mix 🙂 Highly recommend these sweet little treats.
(step 1) bake cake!
(step 2) crumble cake, mix with frosting [so fun], and mold into balls.
(step 3) dip balls into melted candy melts
(step 4) sparkle with edible glitter!
(step 5) eat up.
post script: Thank you all so much for the darling birthday wishes yesterday!!
