I don’t care how old I am– Disney World will always be the the most magical place I know. I can’t help but feel inspired when I visit, and even more so on this trip, as I finally got the chance to watch one of my best friends in her element, living her dream as a Disney dancer! Linking up with a {little} dash of ash to share some of my favorite Instagrams from the trip…
Spring Break Season
I thought I had experienced the last of my spring breaks when I graduated, but lucky for me, little sis is still in college and convinced me to accompany her, so I guess I got a bonus year 🙂 Our bags were full of pretty comfortable and practical clothes for prancing around theme parks, so for today’s Spring Break Friday’s Fancies on {long distance loving}, I’ve got a different sort of suitcase on my mind…
Print-Share Bikini, Anthropologie, $156
A Petit Blossoms White Applique Skirt, Ruche, $43
Sneakers, H&M, $13
Mini Anchor Post Earrings, Catherine Weitzman via Max & Chloe, $60
Satin Bow Hair Clip, American Apparel, $14
A Coast Call Bag, ModCloth, $65
Anchors Away Bracelet, Kate Spade, $98
Sailor’s Knot Ring, Kate Spade, $48
Nautical screams spring to me. I’d love to learn to sail but unfortunately my fear of drowning kind of puts that one on the back burner. Maybe one day though…? Until then I’ll happily lay out in this oh-so-adorable Anthropologie bikini and watch the sailors sail by from a distance.
Happy weekend everyone! xx
Ohana Means Family
Tangerine Tango
Like most others, I’ve had a hard time resisting falling in love with Pantone’s Color of the Year 2012, Tangerine Tango. I especially like thing springy hue mixed with another favorite of mine, lavender. How pretty are they together?
Sleeveless Lace Dress, Topshop, $96
New Bond Street Florence Leather Handbag, Kate Spade, $448
Leather Bow Clip, American Apparel, $16
Dawn Wedge Sandal, Elie Tahari, $228
Tassel Earrings, Jenny Jenny, $39
Bracelet, Kenneth Jay Lane, $210
Bar None Ring, Kate Spade, $48
Like a summer sunset if you ask me 🙂 Linking up with {long distance loving} and lots of other tangerine-lovers for Friday’s Fancies before I’m off for a few days! I will leave you with one last thing though… a little inspiration from two of my favorite girls on how I hope my vacation goes…
Countdown to Castles
I’m just two days away from jetting off to Florida for a mini vacation with two very best friends in two very magical places. I couldn’t be more excited to pull the little kid card in Disney World… so excited that I couldn’t resist pulling out this tee and sparkly playtime shoes in preparation…
Snow White tee, H&M
Chambray shirt, Old Navy
Lace skirt, Forever 21
Belt, J Crew
Beaded bracelet, vintage
Glitters slip ons, TOMS
You’ll find me here tomorrow but then I will be out until next week! I know my way around Disney pretty well, but anyone have any tips for taking on Harry Potter World?? It’ll be my first time seeing that castle!
Well the funny thing is Jules, my back…
Never mind. No more Superbad references.
But today we are talking backpacks! I’ve been meaning to get a new one for my upcoming vacation (just a few days away!), but still haven’t been able to decide on which… these little guys were (and still are) some of my favorite contenders though.
At this point though, I have a feeling I’ll be sticking with my trusty Vera. Where do you turn for cute backpacks or other travel bags?
Bling My [Wind] Chimes
Lace dress, H&M
Murfee scarf, Lilly Pulitzer
Green bracelet, vintage
Gold studs, H&M
Boots, Lauren Ralph Lauren
The wind was howling so hard at my parents house the other night that I could hardly sleep. Thought it was a good excuse to pull out my new Bling My Chimes murfee from the one and only Lilly. Other than the loud wind though, a beautiful day as you can see! Countdown till spring anyone??
Pink and Yellow
A few warm Instagrams of some of my favorites things from this week… linking up with a {little} dash of ash!
Hollywood Glam
I don’t think I’m alone in admitting that half of the reason I watch awards shows is for the fashions. I’m so excited to see all of the gorgeous dresses that rock the red carpet this Sunday at the Academy Awards, and equally as excited to be linking up with long distance loving for an Oscar’s-themed Friday’s Fancies!
When my style icon Kate Middleton stopped in Hollywood as a part of her North American tour last summer, I couldn’t wait to see what she wore to the British Academy of Film and Television Arts celebration. Stepping out in a lavender Alexander McQueen, she exceeded any expectations I had. I knew at that moment, that if I ever had the chance to walk down that red carpet, I would choose to wear something pretty dang similar…
Silk Georgette Gown, Rachel Gilbert, $1,385
Rhinestone bracelet, BCBG, $48
Bountiful Bliss Clutch, BHLDN, $450
Multi-Teardrop Earrings, BCBG, $88
Champagner Sky Heels, Jimmy Choo, $740

[Pie] Pop It Lock It Drop It
Remember that time I made cake pops? The obsession continues.
My little brother, getting to be quite the good gift giver in his old age, got me a BabyCakes Pie Pop Maker for Christmas. I toyed with it a few times during the holidays, but whipped it out again this week to make some pops for my book club.
too cute.
too easy.
too delicious.
Do you have any BabyCakes makers? I think I’m going to have my heart set on the mini donut maker next. Donut pops anyone…?!
