As much as I love summer sundresses, I cannot wait to pack as many shorts-centered outfits as I can into my daily wardrobe before the season ends. I happen to especially adore the pairing of shorts with long-sleeved shirts (often oxfords, seen here and here). The culottes style of this pair feels like it needs a form-fitting tee on top, and then would be just perfect for a casual dinner out along the water.

Oh my gosh, those anchor shorts are too cute! I wear a lot of dresses during the work week, but I love shorts for the weekends. 🙂

I’m more of a dress and skirt person, but I do like to break out the shorts, especially when I need to be active, and especially when they fit well! 🙂

I love your short story! The nautical shorts are fab! I am more of a sundress person, I find it easier to put on one piece rather than two!! But I prefer the look of shorts!
