Sweater Weather

After a mild October up here in New England, it is now officially sweater weather. Here are some knits I’d be perfectly happy cozying up in as the temperature continues to drop…

fun fall sweaters

(1) Frenchie Sweater, J.Crew, $98
(2) Peckson Cable Sweater, Jack Wills, $99
(3) Solid Varsity Cardigan, Delia’s, $36
(4) Swan Sweater, Miss Selfridge, $68
(5) A Row in Montreux Sweater, ModCloth, $75
(6) School Sweater, J.W. Anderson for Topshop, $100

Now a real question I’ve been debating all season: what do you think is the appropriate amount of money to spend on a sweater?

  1. Wait. That Frenchie sweater. I need it. My love of Frenchies runs so deep!

  2. I love sweater weather! I don’t spend much on sweaters because it doesn’t stay cold in Florida for long! :(

  3. Love the heart patch cardigan! And it’s on sale! Score!

  4. I’m wearing that J.Crew Frenchie sweater as I type this! It’s quickly become a new favorite :) I’m seriously digging that anchor sweater too…

As far as price goes, I’ve been known to spend anywhere from $25 to $175 (for cashmere, of course) on a sweater, and I have to say – most of the time, you’re really paying for what you get. All of my H&M/F21/Target sweaters (though I do love them) pill and look terrible after a few wearings or just one wash – I’d rather pay 4 times the amount to get infinitely more use – at some point, it’ll cost less in the long run :)

  5. These are really cute – I love the Frenchie!

  6. I love the Delias has a cheaper version of the Madewell heart patch cardigan!

I think the JCrew frenchie sweater is sold out online now :( SO CUTE!
