I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since I woke up at the ungodly hour of 4 am to watch Kate and Wills tie the knot [tea and scones in hand, mind you]. Since then, Kate Middleton has become my ultimate style icon [see here; here; here; here], so it seemed only appropriate that for today’s Date Night Friday’s Fancies I keep the duchess in mind.
I don’t know what Miss Catherine will be wearing for her anniversary soiree, but I can imagine it would be classic and proper, but with flirty details like lace and peplum, and romantic touches of pale pink…

It brings tears to my eyes to remember HOW EARLY I woke up for their wedding and to think of how many tears I shed during the ceremony. This outfit would do Duchess Catherine proud :)
