Vera Bradley Piped Flute Pajama Top & Bottoms c/o
I’m trying to resurrect this column! Little thoughts & things to kick off the weekend.
Shopping // This feels so ~basic~ to say now, but I’m glad it’s something we’re all talking about: In addition to continuing to be more thoughtful about spending money on experiences > things (but also not wasting $27 on a drive through Christmas light show in the suburbs?), I’m trying to focus on shopping sustainably. We visited an Everlane showroom in LA and placed a family order. I know, I know, we’re adorable. These jeans were $48, proving that shopping for sustainable clothing doesn’t always break the bank.
(Butttt if you do want to splurge, Reformation and Cuyana—which just opened a new location in Boston—are pretty lust worthy.)
I also LOVE how transparent Jenni Kayne is about sustainability in their brand—this is a great statement.

Watching // The impeachment trial Modern Love! I love series that are made up of standalone stories (The Romanovs is another good one). All of these are inspired by New York Times essays, and out of eight episodes there was really only one that I didn’t love. Maybe one and a half. They’re also only ~30 minutes, so we breezed through the season in a week.
Also Watching // THE MISS AMERICANA TRAILER AHHHH this is two minutes of me having straight chills and January 31st cannot come soon enough.

Reading // God I married the right person. MJF got me a book of Greta Thunberg’s speeches for Christmas and there have been no shortage of emotions while reading. Related: this.

Not Blaming // Meggo & Har. In case you haven’t been paying attention, the British media royally sucks. Look at this side-by-side comparison that shows the double standard of how they treat Kate versus Meghan. Can you blame her for saying PEACE

Packing // I spent my first night away from Eloise last week and am never leaving again cried the whole way. BUT on the bright side, Vera Bradley sent me this Weekender Travel Bag which was perfect for a night away. Would even work for 2-3 nights if you weren’t forced to pack a breast pump didn’t insist on bringing three pairs of shoes.
Also, did you know Vera Bradley had pajamas? This print reminds me of my mom’s vintage VB!
