Always a Bridesmaid

Bridesmaid Beach PhotosGUYS. We celebrated our one-year wedding anniversary last week! Time flies and then some.

Now my days as a bride are long gone [#byewhitecocktaildresses], and it’s bridesmaid duties from here on out. I love the seersucker sweethearts my girls wore, but if I could do it again? I’d let them choose their own dress.

I recently worked with LaurenConrad.com on this be-yoo-tiful guide to dresses for every bridesmaid, no matter what their body type, and it’s making me wish I could do it all over again. I’m wearing the Paper Crown Breanna Dress, repping us petite 5’4″-and-under ladies, because what’s worse than dropping all that money on a long dress, only to have to add on a complicated alteration that may totally change the original look? Off to our 4th wedding of the year tonight…!

People seem to be pitying us lately. “Oh, ANOTHER wedding?” And why yes they DO get expensive, but getting dressed up, savoring a steak dinner, and dancing the night away while celebrating two of your favorite friends’ love? Fine by me.

Talk Derby to Me : Kentucky Derby Shower

Kentucky Derby Bridal ShowerAre you guys getting sick of wedding posts? I promised myself I wouldn’t turn this into a wedding blog despite all that’s going on this year, but SHEESH that’s like seven this month. So sorry ’bout it.

Let me share with you one more thing, because it makes my heart so full and my girls’ work deserves to be shown off. We’re getting married the day of the Kentucky Derby, and since I will be a little too preoccupied to watch and celebrate the races, my bridesmaids and mama threw me the sweetest Kentucky Derby shower.
