2020 was the year us gals picked up needlepoint, bread baking, house dresses and 9PM bedtimes, in turn, putting a grand in front of millennial. You may know this style as “granny-chic”—colorful cardigans, embroidery, pearls, wicker (sound like me yet?), lace, toile, big sleeves, ruffles and vintage jewelry. Thinking about my grandmother’s own style, I remember her pastel sweater collection, always paired with pearls or polished hoops. (I inherited a good chunk of her jewelry box, but I’m a liiiittle wary of putting the 50-year old gold in my ears now, so I’m refreshing the look by investing in some new gold hoop earrings of my own — especially love this pair of pearl hoop earrings, it being a perfect combo of two GM styles.)

As you can see, grandmillennial fashion is not for the faint of heart: one has got to wear what is essentially a glorified nightgown out in public with extreme confidence.

I’m no expert on the rules of this style (I think we’re making up this one as we go, in true millennial form), but here are a few sweet pieces I’m seeing fit the bill.
