This “spring” is like an on-again-off-again boyfriend. Just when you think he’s here to stay, he flakes out. Few days later, he’s blowing up your phone. That poor groundhog was getting some serious mixed signals.

Low Tide, Bows Tied

Sailor, Sailor!

Have you all heard of Just Madras? I am prettyyyyy darn smitten with my new Skipper Dress from their sailor-sailor collection! Nautically-inspired and made in the USA, this line is right up my alley.

I first wore this dress to a recent bridal shower, but have thrown it on a number of times since then– SO soft and works for everything from running errands to dressing up for nicer events. I also l-o-v-e the seersucker and anchor-printed versions, and cannot stop thinking about the 3/4 sleeve style!

Early Summer Uniform

In most climates, this would be known as a “spring uniform,” but since New England is indistinguishable between the months of March and June, long sleeves + blazers for layering have continued to find their way into my day-to-day looks post-Memorial Day. Bottom line though? Unless it’s white jeans, I’m still not going anywhere near pants despite some still-chilly temps. Thus, the gift of high-waisted skirts.

Coming clean:: this outfit was totally inspired by H. Nichols Illustration’s Perfectly Preppy print. From now until 4pm today, she’s hosting an $8 print sale, and you can bet your bottom dollar [or eight…] that I snagged this one!

Happy Hour

There are a number of stereotypes that circle the Boston nightlife scene, but overall, I think it’s a pretty fun city to go out in. My favorite time to hit the town though? Call me a grandma, but it’s totally happy hour.

I love pieces that can take me from the office to the bar, and a chic tee + blazer are staples for such. I paired these with skinny jeans and flats during the work day, but then added some fun lace shorts and heels once 5pm hit.
