I regret nothing.

Four Years.

This little bloggity o’ mine turned 4 years old last week. If BF hadn’t asked me to marry him, that means mine + the blog’s relationship would have been the longest I’d ever had. Pause for giggles.

Because I can’t resist a good reflection post, let’s chat about four things around here… where we’ve been and where I hope to take them.

Style // It’s no surprise that I love working with local brands and businesses. This year I was introduced to Cinder + Salt, k.m. hutton, Vineyard Prep, Brittany Lauren Design, Hollis Hayes, and White Mountain. I’ve especially enjoyed working with the ladies of Boutikey— a local company that also supports local boutiques!

But mostly, I hope to continue embracing and sharing the real New England-ness and seasonality of my current and dream wardrobe. Anyone and their mother can start a style blog these days; I’m here because when it’s 6-degrees and snowing out, I want to help inspire you to get dressed in something more than sweatpants. And if you’re going to wear cozy flannel, dangit I want that flannel to have a purpose and be more than a lazy-day staple!

Travel // I’m no Julia Engel [really, someone tells me how her life works?]. Day trips are my thing, and I can’t wait to bring you more of those this summer and fall.

Entertaining // This is new! Now that I’m out of my adorable-but-dinky post-grad apartment, we have begun to entertain more, and I promise to share more bits and pieces of that around here.

Shoes // 32 pairs OOTD’d here over the last year, give or take. I’ve got my party shoes on today to celebrate shell chic’d’s birthday– the latest in the Keds x Kate Spade spring collection! How cute are the ladybug ones too?

Monochrome + Monogram

Believe me, I’m normally all green-red-glitter-plaid from Thanksgiving Day through New Year’s Eve, but lazying about one day over the long weekend recently, this monochromatic look fell together, and it was a refreshing break from all of the holiday brights.

Some black & white details: my monogrammed clutch [only a few more months to rock this monogram y’all, let me have my fun!] is Marley Lilly, and I also adore this metallic gold one— perfect for holiday parties when you do need a little shine.

I’ve wanted polka dot Keds forEVS, and the team there was nice enough to send me a pair from their fall line! They have the lightest bit of fur, so suddenly wearing tennis shoes in December doesn’t sounds that weird 😉 Also seriously obsessed with their ribbon shoelaces.

Gold Dots; Navy Stripes

I have nothing worthy to say about this outfit, except to admit that I’ve been wearing it just a bit too often lately. I’m in the midst of a love affair with this vest [see here//here//here if you’ve ever wondered if you’ll get enough use out of a navy + white striped puffer vest] as well as with anything gold, and I apologize that you’ve all had to witness it.

Last month, US Trendy awarded me with the pretty darn fun title of being one of Boston’s 50 Most Fashionable. As if that wasn’t cool enough, they offered to send me some clothes, and–huge shocker– I picked this comfy ship wheel sweatshirt (hey, gotta show off some nautical New England pride right?!).

I have just loved the peter pan collar trend that’s been gaining traction over the last year, but have always been too shy to try it– until I received this dainty little one from Sincerely Sweet Boutique. It was just the right amount of statement and fit easily with this oversized knit, and had a vintage feel without being too in-your-face, or little girl-ish. I also love their Timeless Addendum and Austen Society Lace Trim Vintage Collars– such sweet little touches to add to outfits!
