I’ve met some really beautiful people in Boston over the last few years, and am so grateful for those new friendships. Yet my best best college friends— you know, those ones you picture during movies like The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and The Lizzie McGuire Movie [I did just admit that]— are spread out all over the country now, from Maine to Philadelphia to Hollywood, and everywhere in between.
And we can email. And we can Gchat. And we can Skype and call and text and tweet. But there is something to be said for a good old fashioned letter. I do love stationary, but after writing a few notes in a row, I grow tired of it [that just-had-to-have-it-Kate-Spade-set, mind you]. I want to give each friend something more personal. Enter: Cardstore.com.
I sent my friend Samantha in LA a just-because friendship card [though choose from birthday//baby//wedding//anniversary//sympathy//invitation//the list goes on!]. The design was so cute that I hardly wanted to mess with it, but I did add a couple photos and, of course, a note on the inside. Personalizing it ended up being the most fun part [other than hearing from her when she received it!].
For only $3, plus the price of postage, I can’t think of a better way to brighten her day, and I can’t wait to send a batch of these around. Plus, you can pick the send date, so if you’re one to forget important details like birthdays and anniversaries, you can create and schedule your cards ahead of time!
Cardstore is offering 30% off all purchases today and tomorrow with code CCL3030. So go ahead, make your friends’ day 🙂
Disclosure: I received a code to send one free card with this service; all opinions expressed are my own.

Postscript: Thanks Samanth for the photos!
