Spring trends this year guys. They are hothotHOT–are you not seeing off-the-shoulder pieces and grown-up gingham everywhere you look? Sometimes in the same place? I’ve given into some this year, I really have, but the more I shop for ready-to-wear trends, ie. impulse buys, the more I try to force myself to step back and think about which pieces are going to stick around the longest…which are worth investing in.
Now is it shirt dress or shirtdress?
Fair enough, this Kate Spade shirtdress capitalizes on the I’m-calling-it-now flounce/drop-waist skirt trend that’s about to be, but when you’re filling your closet with staples, don’t be afraid to add some flair every once and a while. Ya dig?

I blinked and it was April 14.
Nothing like an April snowstorm to remind you how strange of a place New England is. And how far we still may be from spring after all. But I say florals and pastels anyway josé. 
Another day, another pastel coat. One that I purchased after overhearing a fellow customer Regina George-that-is-the-ugliest-effing-coat-I-have-ever-seen it, which only made me want it a little more. It served me well on 
I call this one, “Mary Kate Olsen.”
Unlike, oh, everyone else ever, I was indifferent about taking a trip up to Napa during our trip out to SFO. We’ve got 
Weather hadn’t exactly worked in our favor for, virtually, any of our trip up until this point, but as soon as we hit Yountville, nothin’ but sun and sauv blanc.
This “spring” is like an on-again-off-again boyfriend. Just when you think he’s here to stay, he flakes out. Few days later, he’s blowing up your phone. That poor groundhog was getting some serious mixed signals.

I feel like this space is turning into a weather blog. Minus the actual predicting of and instead just complaining about. These photos were taken on a February day in which it was hovering around 60 degress. Followed by snow. Followed by wind chills of give-or-take NEGATIVE TWENTY. And as I sit here writing this, it’s 55 degrees and raining with 32mph winds.
