Wishing you all a colorful week! xx
I’m straying far from fashion + style today, but only because my heart is so full.
When I graduated from college, I was terrified that dance would become a thing of my past. Wrong as usual. I feel so lucky to have found such an amazing group of people in DanceWorks Boston. A week in the theater this season felt like eternity, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way and couldn’t be prouder of the show we just put on.
I always hear people say that they “used to dance.” Guys and gals, it doesn’t have to be a used to if you don’t want it to be.
To the mama who has put up with me for the past twenty three years (plus nine months) and counting, you deserve for it to be Mother’s Day all year long. Love you to the moon and back.
Cinco de Mayo, The Kentucky Derby, and my best friend/roommate’s birthday marked three excuses to celebrate this weekend! Though I will say May 5 definitely threw some people for a loop this year– I saw ladies in sombreros drinking mint juleps and men in bowler hats downing margaritas. But we embraced it… here are snapshots of our celebrations! And those cupcakes– thank you Lauren Conrad for the delicious recipe.
I’m curious– how did you celebrate the double day of fun??
Being the annoying American I am with an obsession great appreciation for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, we celebrated their anniversary properly this past weekend. High tea + scones + proper dress. Linking up with a {little} dash of ash!
Plus a full post on the darling little Windsor Tea Shop coming later this week…

For three years in college, I was a member of my school’s Fashion Society, serving as Vice President my senior year. I was so excited that I had the chance to visit this weekend and see their spring fashion show, which happens to be one of the largest entirely student-run fashion shows in the country (schools like FIDM and FIT have faculty involved in their productions). These kids young men and women are doing amazing things and I could not have been prouder to see them put on such a fantastic show!
This year, they spiced things up a bit. Half of the production featured designs done completely by students, while the other half featured student stylists– meaning they took pieces already in stores to put together ensembles. SUCH an interesting and enjoyable twist!
Most definitely stealing some styling tips from this line…
Linking up with a {little} dash of ash for an Instagram Monday. Congratulations again to all involved with Stylescape!
This weekend I got to spend a lovely Easter at home with my family– first one in five years! And it was like nothing had changed… deviled eggs, jelly beans, and Easter baskets galore…
