She’s a 10, but she’s addicted to ASMR organizing videos.
I find them so satisfying (and if you don’t know what I’m referring to, here are some of my favorite creators). Yet since they do their job well, I often leave them feeling like I need to stock my Amazon cart with all of these cleaning and organizing products that will theoretically make it look like I have my shit home together. Which in turn is cluttering the house and defeating the purpose.
But, a few have definitely been wins. So if you, too, have been tempted by any of the following (especially with influencers shoving them down your throat each and every Prime Day), I’m here to vouch for them. Here are the viral Amazon products we actually use and enjoy (plus a few fails).
[ 1 ] Tripod drying rack | My bestbestbest Amazon purchase in recent memory. I’m a big air-dryer, and this is way easier to store than traditional clothes drying racks.
[ 2 ] Dyson cordless vacuum | We “bought” this with points through a rewards program years ago, making the price easier to stomach, but I’d be 100p down to spend real dollars on it after how well it’s served us. Never come near me with a corded vacuum again.
[ 3 ] Miss Mouth’s Messy Eater Stain Spray | As a mom, I’ve tried my fair share of stain removers. This one wins.
[ 4 ] Car cup holder expander | We are super guilty of throwing any old crap in our cup holders, leaving no room for the 1-2 drinks per person we also always have in tow. This expander has been a great lil addition, BUT now I kind of wish I had waited for this 4-in-1 version.
[ 5 ] Acrylic closet shelf dividers | I am so satisfied every time I look in our closet and see how neat these have kept it. Just be sure to measure your shelves — they can only fit over those roughly ~1 inch in height.
[ 6 ] Mini sensor trashcan | Have purchased this for both of our bathrooms and it is worth every penny of those 27 dollars — sleek and hides the trash without you having to touch a germy top at every use or deal with a foot pedal that is always getting stuck.
[ 7 ] Candle warmer lamp | I love my Yankee Candle wax melter (thanks Morgi <3), but it requires the Yankee MeltCups. I keep that one in the living room and got one of these Amazon candle warmers for our bedroom, so I can finally make my way through all of the regular candles I’ve been hoarding for years (not too proud to admit I am tErRiFiEd to light a match).
[ 8 ] OXO soap dispensing dish brush | Sponges are straight up disgusting. Try to tell me otherwise.
[ 9 ] Drawer dividers | Been using these exact ones for probably close to a decade.
[ 10 ] Mounted Keurig K-cup holders | Necessary? No, but definitely brings me a little satisfaction and keeps the coffee area a wee bit clearer.

[ 11 ] Closet storage bins + bed sheet organizer bands | Folding and organizing sheets is the bane of my existence, and I have tried several solutions. This has been the best so far.
[ 12 ] Stone bath mat | I am revolted by bath mats and their mildew. These stone ones feel expensive, but have been very worth it for my sanity.
[ 13 ] Screen cleaner spray | For those gross toddler prints on the iPad.
[ 14 ] Acrylic hat hooks | I’m a big fan of over-the-door hooks, but mine are frequently occupied with towels or robes. These are great for taking advantage of vertical space and holding hats inside your closet doors.
[ 15 ] Three-compartment laundry hamper | Have only been using this a couple weeks, but so far? Big fan. I’m very particular about my whites vs. delicate color vs. regular color loads, so the three compartments are A+. Also love this version if you’re willing to spend a little more — I think removing and re-placing the bags will be easier.
[ 16 ] Mini sphere ice cube trays | Another unnecessary purchase but one that brings me joy. Our fridge doesn’t have an ice dispenser so we have to old-school it with ice cube trays, and these have replaced our silly old traditional ones. These viral ice makers are fun for sure but I am not about to add another appliance to our counter.
[ 17 ] Honeycomb drawer organizer | Ordered one set to test and have already gone back for more.
[ 18 ] Velvet hangers | I’d guess that I converted to these velvet hangers about 7 or 8 years ago and have never looked back. Such a space saver.

And now for some de-influencing. Viral Amazon purchases I returned and/or regret:
NORI handheld press irons | I want to love this because I HATE dragging out our clunky ironing board, but it has not been worth it for me. Two use case exceptions: 1) Quickly flattening the ruffles on my nap dresses after a wash, and 2) I can easily hang up and iron skirts and shorts because they’re relatively flat and short. Shirts and the body of dresses? Cannot figure it out — there’s just too much fabric to get through? Am I doing it wrong??
BISSELL upholstery deep cleaner | Maybe we’re just raising an absolute maniac, but this did not remove our upholstery stains to the level the reviews promised. I also made the mistake of purchasing this full size instead of the mini version that has gotten popular more recently, someone plz let me know if it’s new and improved because I know it’s at least cuter!!
Over the sink colander | Fine in theory, but clunky to store when not in use.
Car trash can | IDK it’s just, bad? No structure to it and annoying to line it with a trash bag.
Cordless handheld vacuum cleaner | I bought this for our car, and while I don’t hate it, I found that I’m unlikely to clean on the go. When the car is in the driveway, I can easily bring out our normal handheld vacuum (see again: convertible Dyson).
Dental floss pick dispenser | This is great when it’s full, but a PITA to refill. I’m now using and fairly satisfied with this instead.
LMK if you’d get down with a travel version as well! In the meantime, you can find my travel favorites on my Amazon storefront.
