Getting you this in the eleventh hour since I realized [real] white pumpkins are a wee bit hard to find post-Thanksgiving 😬
We hosted a six-person Friendsgiving this year, and I think this is a tradition I missed even more than our (read: Matt’s) big family Thanksgiving. We don’t hit the sangria as hard these days, and bedtime is a bit earlier, but lord it felt good to get our small group back together.
Here are some decor details, shot for another campaign I was working on BUT close enough to what the final green and white Thanksgiving tablescape ended up as. See, I don’t do everything just for the camera.

Green & white Thanksgiving tablescape details:
- Fake mini pumpkins monogrammed with these gold markers
- Sage green gauze napkins
- Jute napkin rings
- Jute placemats
- Bamboo flatware (which failed to make it in these photos but I swear was there and now on super sale!)
- Gold candlestick holders + taper candles
- White votive candles
- White pillar candles
- Similar green gravy boat
- Similar rimmed white dinnerware
Hydrangeas, eucalyptus and other greenery is all fresh from Trader Joe’s, and the “vase” is an old Kaanas purse (similar here). I just dropped a small, shallow vase in the bottom to hold the water.
Too-da-loo!

One thing I miss about working in food publishing in the celebration of the most random food holidays. National Tortellini Day (February 13). National Lemon Chiffon Cake (March 29). National SOFT Ice Cream Day (August 18).
4 bottles decor // Stay on theme with your decor! I used a few empty wine bottles to put together this inexpensive floral display. Best part? You only need a few stems for each to look full, so one mixed bouquet from your local grocery store will do the trick.
2 parts savory // Is there some scientific reason we all crave cheese and salt with a glass of wine? Bueller? Marie put together the perfect combination of a classic wine fest charcuterie board and caramelized onion & goat cheese flatbread {#iatehalf #perfecthost} to satisfy our hankering.
1 part sweet // When drafting your guest list, confirm that you’ve invited the best baker your know to take care of this detail.
Mix and top with
Finish with a touch of something stiffer // Like salty or sweet at the movie theater, wine or cocktail is always the question of any celebration. YOLO kids, let’s have both.

How are you gals celebrating National Wine Day today?!
