The NFL Style Lounge team was sweet enough to send me this uh-dorable Patriots sweater that I fell in love with during my visit back in September, and I am smitten. It has certainly been getting a lot of use for game-watching on Sundays, but what I love about so much of this year’s NFL apparel is that it can easily transition into everyday wear [and you know I love me some versatility!].

Here are two ways to wear your Pats gear, in and outside of the stadium… just switch up your bottoms and accessories depending on your team’s colors…!

Fall @ Lands’ End

Youguys. Have you seen Lands’ End lately? It is not the mom jeans and farmer flannel I once associated it with. This is some full-on New Englandy fall goodness. I’m the last person who wants to talk about Starbucks red cups and other holiday things on November 4th, but the plaid! The cozy red sweaters! The Christmas morning PJ sets! Let’s Talk About Bras: Intimacy Boston

TBH, I’ve never cared much about my bras. I buy what’s comfortable, what’s on sale, what looks cleanest under shirts. But then my world was no short of rocked after my first trip to Intimacy Boston recently. SO much more than a lingerie store, Intimacy is a service as well– its bra fit stylists are miracle workers as far as I’m concerned.

Intimacy carries a unique collection of European brands, and man do they care more over there! I must have tried on 20 bras during my fitting and fell in love with every one of them. BEAUTIFUL designs, and they ALL fit my body better than any other bra I’ve ever owned. Even the “plain” ones had the sweetest detailing– tiny polka dots, scalloped straps… having to choose just one was downright awful. And did I mention softest fabrics ever?

Intimacy, which has locations in 12 cities, carries over 90 bra sizes, A through K, so no matter what your shape is, they will have countless options for making you feel amazing.

I really can’t stress enough how eye opening my visit was, and now I know how difficult it will be to attempt bra shopping anywhere else! I’m sure any of you who have been can attest to that.

HOC Regatta & Ma Petite LuLu

Oh glorious Head of the Charles Regatta. When all of the preppies come out to play.

This year’s weather was not quite as beautiful as last year’s, but snuggled up along the river with hot sandwiches + cider, we were just fine. This is one of my favorite fall traditions, and this year was no different!

We walked around Harvard Square for a bit after [my out-of-town friends needed their JP Licks fix– all you locals know what I mean] and snapped these photos. I’m so excited(!), especially, to show off my new York Design Co. needlepoint cuff from Ma Petite LuLu— a brand new online boutique, featuring the most adorable accessories for all ages.

Studs & Pearls, the Book

When I started blogging in 2011, DIY blogs were really having a moment. And I can’t tell you how much money I spent at Michael’s and fabric stores that year in attempt to get on their level [spoiler:: it didn’t happen]. One of the first DIY blogs I latched onto was Studs & Pearls, and I am SO excited to share blogger Kirsten’s first book, based off the blog, with you today!

30 DIY fashion projects grace its pages–everything from embellishing an old pair of shoes to making an entire dress. I love that the majority of the clothing, accessory, and shoe projects are aimed at dressing up and customizing pieces that you may already have in your closet, or that would be easy to find inexpensively at second-hand stores– no cutting up fabric pieces to fit patterns and struggling to make that entire skirt on your own [though if you can, more power to you my friend!]. The jewelry chapter is for doing some real creative crafting out of nothing– who knew that vinyl tubing could make for such cute bracelets?

The step-by-step photos help IMMENSELY. I am that girl that needs her hand help through the whole DIY process. Kirsten also offers sections with tips and tools for getting started if you need to learn the basics of customized fashion.

My favorite part? The Index by Difficulty. Sometimes I get the itch to craft but don’t want to take on anything that will push the limits of fun and become a stressor that I never end up finishing. Ranking them by easy–>difficult level = the best gift Kirsten could have given me.

Keds & Brave Life Project

A couple months ago, Keds sent me the above pair of sneaks [peeking out of this weekend’s luggage!], but even better than the shoes was the story the team shared with me. Recently, they launched the Brave Life Project, a new virtual community that aims to provide young women [ages 13-24] a space where they can find resources to lead an authentic life, through fun, fashion, and instructional content.

The website features style tutorials, product showcases, and how-to videos covering everything from crafts to cooking – many of which are user-generated – along with everyday brave challenges, personal stories, research and reading material… But the Brave Life Project, as a program, also exists outside the digital realm through a long-term charitable component. Since February 2014, the Brave Life Project’s charitable arm has awarded $100,000 to 100 girls, and the third grant wave, titled “Change Your World”, [was opened] on August 15th that focuses on funding charitable dreams.

50 brave girls are about to be selected as recipients of this season’s grant, to create change within their communities. If you are, or know of, a brave teen with big dreams, stay tuned to hear about the next opportunity to apply for a grant. And in the meantime, check out BraveHearts!

The Daytrip Diaries: Concord

BF and I are doing everything they tell you not to do when moving into a new home– buying allofthethings right away. What I like to call treasure hunting is quickly becoming one of our favorite activities, as we fill the new place with fun and unique decor and knickknacks. The Sunday of Columbus Day weekend was TOO beautiful to spend inside with football (sorry Pats), so we hopped in the car and took a spontaneous drive up to Concord to do a little antique shopping.

If you paid attention in your high school history and literature classes, you may remember that Concord was home to Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau, and the site of [half of] the Battles of Lexington and Concord. But in addition to its rich history (and, therefore, plentiful museums), it’s also home to numerous antique shops, adorable taverns, and the gorgeous Walden Pond.
