My first Halloween party of the year inspiration.
Punkin’ Huntin’!
Last weekend, Sarah of Hemenway Street and Stephanie of That’s Better hosted the cutest. fall. event. ever. We went apple and pumpkin picking at Lookout Farms in Natick, MA and then spent the afternoon painting and glittering pumpkins and leaves [you know I’m a fan of anything having to do with glitter] and eating the most delicious pumpkin treats baked by Stephanie!
I met these two girls back at Rendez-Vous New Engand and was so thrilled for a chance to hang out with them again! We already brought up the idea of a holiday meet-up, so New England bloggers stay tuned.
Here are some of my favorite photos from the day… so hard to narrow down! We couldn’t have asked for better weather, so don’t be afraid of those ominous clouds in some of the backgrounds…!

Think Pink!
Today’s Friday’s Fancies pink theme is in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a cause close to my heart, and I’m sure many of yours as well. While looking for some pink inspiration, it only made sense to go to Lilly Pulitzer! I love that many of Lilly’s products’ profits go toward supporting The Breast Cancer Charities of America, every little bit counts!
Jeanette Dress, Lilly Pulitzer, $298
Le Vernis Nail Colour, Chanel, $25
Double-Bow Clutch, J Crew, $88
Karolina Heels, Kate Spade, $325

Awkward and Awesome Thursday
Photo by Sarah, from our day at the farm, I promise a recap is coming soon!!
Awkward:
– Oh this is a good one.
When I was in college, I was on the board for my school’s Fashion Society. Every year, we held a Next Top Male Model competition and ran it very similarly to the real America’s Next Top Model, with photoshoots, live judging, etc. Last fall one of the photoshoot prompts was to remake famous advertisements, including Axe. My friend and I had to stand in as Axe girls with the male model contestant. It was all cute and funny and forgotten about as soon as the show was over. UNTIL I received word last week that SOMEHOW Axe/the MLB/TBS got ahold of the photo, superimposed Cal Ripken Jr.’s face over the actual male model’s, and it is playing in a commercial during the MLB playoffs. Really great.
I have yet to see the commercial, but here is a photo for proof that it exists. If anyone does in fact see it, I apologize in advance.
-I’m not quite used to my new apartment’s setup yet, so after a long day Friday, I flopped on my couch, leaned back, and smacked my head so dang hard that I felt a bump arise just like you’d see in those old cartoons. Pain to the max. Washing my hair all week has been quite the challenge.
Awesome:
-I got to go to a pre-screening of Like Crazy this week. Not only was the film amazing, but director Drake Doremus and actress Felicity Jones were both there for a Q&A at the end! And let me tell you kids, this girl? She’s gonna be a star.
-SOMEHOW, without even looking, I stumbled on a pair of Missoni for Target heels, and the last ones in my size! They aren’t the flats I lusted over so badly, but if they were still there this late in the game (aka #MissoniforTarget sheeetshow), I think they were mean to be.
-A space heater in my office and a warm cup of pumpkin coffee. Nothin’ beats the rain like that combo.
-That belt up there? ^ It’s from the clearance pile at Wet Seal. #sorryimnotsorry
i [love] my city.
I’m so excited to be guest posting over at a daily read of mine today: the gorgeous Simply Irresistible! Be sure to stop on by and read what I have to say about my favorite city… my home for the last four years… good old Beantown 🙂

A Pinteresting Tuesday Shoesday
I. Adore. Pinterest.
[shocker].
And I was so inspired by this pin the other day…
That I made a couple stops on my way home, purchased some $10 clearance flats at Payless and some pink ribbon, and made these…
I can’t say I love my version quite as much as the originals, but I think they’ll do 🙂
Do you all ever put your pins to action??

Awkward:
-Ran to catch a subway the other day and actually got stuck in the doors as they were closing. My friends had to help me squeeze in. Terrifying. Humiliating.
-I forgot to bring sneakers to my dance rehearsal last night. And the socks I brought were brand new. Let me tell you, attempting hip hop in slippery socks? Bad life choice.
-Got out of the shower this morning with virtually all of my shampoo and conditioner still in my hair….
-Our television now kind of turns on whenever it feels like it. Meaning we either have a ghost, or some funny neighbors who have very good aim with a remote.
-SIX MORE BUG BITES.
Awesome:
-Appetizers. Seriously I wish every meal could just be appetizers.
-My graduation memory boxes were featured on Molly’s Anthrofied DIY Challenge! The most exciting.
-ICED pumpkin lattes for these crazy warm but still fall-filled days! What a fabulous invention.
-Last weekend I went to an amazizing farmer’s market and loaded up on all sorts of fresh veggies, fruits, and cheeses, and and these pretty little babies:
Happy [almost] Friday everyone!
LC Lauren Conrad | Kohl’s
I adore Paper Crown, but since that’s a little out of my everyday price range, I am loving that Lauren Conrad now has a line for [blast from my past] Kohl’s.
I’m pretty sure the price point is a bit higher than what I remember paying for Mudd (!) and other Kohl’s brands back in the day, but still not bad at all. Check out some of my favorites from her fall collection, think I’ll be taking a trip to the suburb strip mall soon for a few of these…
