Maison Ladurée

It’s no secret that I love French macarons. Love actually might be an understatement. That’s why I was thrilled when I got to make a quick stop at Maison Ladurée on Madison Ave while in NYC this past weekend.

I counted the days for this little Parisian bakery to open from the moment I first heard it was coming stateside, and I first visited it in November during my last New York trip. I even attempted to make my own macarons in the meantime. But let me tell you, the real thing? Nothing even compares.

Happy New Year everyone!!

While I would one day love to brace the crowds and see that glittery ball drop in person, I had a more untraditional New York New Year’s and instead stayed pretty far away from Times Square. But I did have such an incredible time ringing in 2012 with some of my best friends! Happy Friday blogadees! I hope you’ve all had a relaxing week off, or if you’ve been working, a relaxed and quiet week in the office! I’m headed off to The Big Apple today to ring in 2012 with some friends I haven’t seen in far too long. But before I go, I’m linking up with {long distance loving} for a NYE Friday’s Fancies. Tutus on Saturdays

I realized this past weekend that being home, bumming around on a Saturday, is no reason to not wear fun clothes if I’m feeling particularly glitzy.
