Peppermint Pattie Skirt, Mink Pink
Tank, H&M// Glasses, Gucci // Clock necklace, American Eagle // Charm bracelet, Tiffany & Co. //Nude pumps, Madden Girl
Meet my new favorite skirt. It comes from an adorable little boutique in Chicago called Dress Up. How’d I get it from Boston? Meet my new favorite site, Shoptiques.
I love shopping in small boutiques– it’s refreshing to wear something that isn’t from H&M or Zara or wherever else everyone is shopping. Shoptiques.com brings all those tiny little boutiques [that you visited on that one trip to that one city that one time] online, and lets you shop from wherever you are.
Started last year by Olga Vidisheva, a Harvard Business grad, this site is revolutionary in that it lets you discover and explore amazing little shops in all sorts of different neighborhoods, from The Hamptons to Miami. I met Olga a couples years ago at a Boston Boutique Week event and was so impressed with everything she has done in the fashion world– such an inspiration!
Bottom line: get shopping on Shoptiques stat!!
I am getting super excited about The Carrie Diaries upcoming TV show, if for nothing else than the fashion! I think AnnaSophia Robb is just adorable and, at least from the few pre-production photos I’ve seen, is really fitting the part. Young Carrie’s style may not be a look I can rock every day, but it sure is fun playing dress up sometimes!
What do you think– are you excited about The Carrie Diaries or do you fear it will ruin the allure of Sex and the City?
Sequin bolero, vintage // Black tank, H&M // Tutu skirt, 344 // Bird belt, H&M // Bow headband, Forever 21 // Bow earrings, BCBG // Pearls, Urban Outfitters // Watch, Guess // Rhinestone bracelet, DIYed // Tassel bracelet, Bfrend // Purse, vintage // Heels, vintage
For three years in college, I was a member of my school’s Fashion Society, serving as Vice President my senior year. I was so excited that I had the chance to visit this weekend and see their spring fashion show, which happens to be one of the largest entirely student-run fashion shows in the country (schools like FIDM and FIT have faculty involved in their productions). These kids young men and women are doing amazing things and I could not have been prouder to see them put on such a fantastic show!
This year, they spiced things up a bit. Half of the production featured designs done completely by students, while the other half featured student stylists– meaning they took pieces already in stores to put together ensembles. SUCH an interesting and enjoyable twist!
Most definitely stealing some styling tips from this line…
Linking up with a {little} dash of ash for an Instagram Monday. Congratulations again to all involved with Stylescape!
Have I discussed pastels too much already? My apologies. I really just can’t get enough!

My little blog has turned one!
Hard to believe I’ve been at this for a year, but I guess time flies when you’re havin’ fun! I can’t thank each and every one of you enough for supporting this tiny little corner of the web of mine… you have no idea how much each sweet comment, tweet, whatever it may be, means to me! Blogging has really become sort of therapeutic to me, and I’m so grateful for all of the inspiration I find in this world, and for all of the people I have met through it.
