I can’t stop smiling at these shots from backstage at my dance show in New York City this weekend… so many funny and pretty little details that go into making a dance performance what it is! Linking up with a {little} dash of ash for Instagram Monday.

emily will be the big 2-3 on february 15th!
i imagine her spending her birthday going out to a fancy dinner & then grabbing
cupcakes with friends.
i think that this would be the perfect outfit for the occasion.
i was going for “chic+feminine+birthday fancy,” & where
better to cyber-shop than anthropologie?

A sweet little treat for your Thursday that I originally spotted on the darling Buckets and Bunches 🙂 The Great Journey of the Little Bagcharms…
Pink Green Pastel
I’ve been seeing a ton of ideas lately on pastels for winter. I think it’s the perfect transition trend– prepping for spring while staying true to snowy winter hues. Today’s OOTD inspiration comes from one of my fashion blogging icons, Atlantic-Pacific. Pastels, according to clothes, nails, and macarons…
Macaron romper, Urban Outfitters
Mint sweater, Aerie
Pink skinnies, Forever 21
Locket, CatBird
Watch, Guess
Left bracelet, Bfrend
Right bracelet, DIYed
Bird ring, The Quarterdeck
Nude pumps, Steve Madden
Making and Baking
Crafting, cooking, and wearing what I eat on a snowy Saturday!

I’m so pinterested…
I may or may not be a little obsessed with Pinterest. I’m constantly pinning images from all of your adorable blogs, and spending substantial amounts of time going though all of the boards I follow as well. So I love {av}‘s Friday’s Fancies theme today: outfit inspiration. Many of my own OOTDs have in fact come from pin inspiration already! (see here, here, and here).
Here’s one of my favorite pins sitting on my fashion board, and my take on the antiqued pink look:
Laces Everyone Dress, ModCloth, $50
Open Your Heart Sweater, ModCloth, $65
Suede oxfords, H&M, $35Â
Pearl Scallop Bib Necklace, Kate Spade, $278Â
Bobbled Clutch, Anthropologie, $328Â
Bow hair clips, H&M, $4Â
Made to Measure Bracelet, ModCloth, $53Â

When I got to college, I did the most bag-girl thing that I had the nerve to do. [I got my cartilage pierced.]
And then when I was about to graduate college, I did the second most bad-girl thing I had the nerve to do. [I got a second hole.]
Believe me, if I ever go for that tattoo or, god-forbid, third hole, you’ll be the first to know. Until then, I’m hardly exciting.
And I got these bad boys for the sole reason that I just love earrings! Yet I am terrible at following through and hardly ever change them out. So I’ve tried to mix it up a little lately.
So I’ve gotten a little better about the lobe, but changing the cartilage still needs some encouragement. I adore some of the studs from online retailer FreshTrends though, especially this rose, key lock, and this FEATHER. Oh my goodness want. Wish I were cool enough to pull off.
Any go-to places you all look for fun little earrings?
