The wind was howling so hard at my parents house the other night that I could hardly sleep. Thought it was a good excuse to pull out my new Bling My Chimes murfee from the one and only Lilly. Other than the loud wind though, a beautiful day as you can see! Countdown till spring anyone??

I don’t think I’m alone in admitting that half of the reason I watch awards shows is for the fashions. I’m so excited to see all of the gorgeous dresses that rock the red carpet this Sunday at the Academy Awards, and equally as excited to be linking up with long distance loving for an Oscar’s-themed Friday’s Fancies!

When my style icon Kate Middleton stopped in Hollywood as a part of her North American tour last summer, I couldn’t wait to see what she wore to the British Academy of Film and Television Arts celebration. Stepping out in a lavender Alexander McQueen, she exceeded any expectations I had. I knew at that moment, that if I ever had the chance to walk down that red carpet, I would choose to wear something pretty dang similar…

My little brother, getting to be quite the good gift giver in his old age, got me a BabyCakes Pie Pop Maker for Christmas. I toyed with it a few times during the holidays, but whipped it out again this week to make some pops for my book club.
