Am I a Maineiac this month or what? Between MJF and I, there’s only one August weekend that a Fanning won’t be up there. Tough life.
Before I sit in traffic for three hours scoot up to Ogunquit, I wanted to pop by and show off a new accessory designer I was recently introduced to: Becky McKinnell and her Wildwood Oyster Co. These gorgeous leather bags blend a mix of nautical and chic that I didn’t realize was possible. Oh wait yes I did this entire blog is named after that HAHA.
Needless to say, we’re a perfect fit.
I took these photos up in Kennebunkport, just miles from where the bags are handcrafted in Portland. The leather is responsibly sourced and everything is manufactured in the USA. That’s a rarity I looooove to support.
This soft Kodiak leather is tdf, and I’m especially stoked to share these as we enter no no no don’t say it fall. Brown or black leather, but the marine boat line handle holds on to that picture of Maine summers by sea. And talk about a unique back-to-school / just-kidding-always-at-work bag, this sturdy chap easily holds my laptop—a nonnegotiable now that I’m back to #commuterlife. The strap is strong enough that I don’t experience PTSD thanks to the time my tote handle broke and distributed all of my belongings including a tampon across the T. Great day.
Wildwood Oyster Co. Brown Leather Bag | White Sag Harbor Maxi Dress | White Lace Up Wedges {so many other cute Soludos sandals and wedges I’m lusting over too}
Wildwood Oyster Co. also boasts some nauti little leather & boat line necklaces in addition to their full handbag collection. Becky is offering my readers $40 off their purchase with SHELLCHICDVIP, so hop to it.
So excited to see where this new brand goes next!

Super jealous of all your Maine adventuring! Wish I could be there to soak it in and eat my weight in lobster rolls!
