I blinked and it was August. But what else is new?
Here are five fun things on my mind this summer–besides the season finale of The Bachelorette and Joelle Hannah Fletcher’s terrible judge of character.
$1 Oysters @ Bar Boulud Boston // Bar Boulud Boston comin’ in HOT with the formerly-known-as-happy-hour treats and deals! They launched their Bar Bites menu this past winter (‘member?), and this month–to celebrate summer–they’re offering dollar oysters every weekday between 2 and 6PM. And you all know oysters + rosé is my love language. A shuckin’ good deal here guys.
Tortilleria Mi Niña // Speaking of all things that touch my taste buds. I feel guilty for keeping this one to myself for so long, seeing as I’ve been snacking on this new tortilla chip like it’s my job lately. Jamie Mammano, Chef and owner of Mistral–as well as many other favorite Boston restaurants–has created these gluten-free, preservative-free tortilla chips out of minimal ingredients but with incredible flavor and freshness. I loved hearing about his inspiration for Tortilleria Mi Niña when we celebrated earlier this summer, and I am more than a little jazzed about the upcoming Churros flavor…!
Find these babies at Whole Foods, Roche Brothers, and more.
Cheeky Embroidered Sunhats // I just can’t help but praise whoever came up with the idea to embroider “wish you were here” with a single piece of yarn on a simple straw hat and charge $455 for it. God I love the fashion industry.
But really–another trend I’m tempted to give into. Want::
Martha’s Vineyard // With our wedding and so many others, we failed to make it to our happy place last summer, and the chances at a weekend to spare aren’t looking great for 2016 either {though you know I’m a huge fan of off-season getaways…}. Mr. President WILL be there this month though, and I loved this article on the presidential history of the island! Fun fact:: I was definitely one of the crazies waiting outside of his restaurant the last time our vacation overlapped with the Obamas. Just wanted a glimpse of my girl Miche!
The Tiffany® Setting // I take it as a huge compliment when people tell my my engagement ring is “so you.” You may not be able to see it from the sky, but its simplicity and timelessness that has made it a classic is exactly what I always hoped some unfortunate man might pick out for me one day {he did!!}. The Tiffany Setting is celebrating its 130th anniversary this year, and honoring such with the creation of limited-edition Pave Tiffany Setting and Rose Gold Tiffany Setting. A Rose. Gold. Diamond. Ring. Let’s see you do that Neil Lane.
xoxo!
