Between weddings, bachelorettes, reunions, birthdays, work, family, occasional sleeping(?), I’ve been running on autopilot since about May 7th, and this is only the start of summer. I’m not complaining about a-n-y of it, but I’ve also been equally grateful for some me-time and me-treats over the last few weeks. I got to try out the following products+places for the purpose of review, and I’m pleased to present them as my June Top 5!
PMS Bites // In the spirit of this week let’s kick it off with some serious #girlboss-ness. Here’s a prime example of a “why didn’t I think of that?” Sharktank-worthy {literally} idea. In what feels like an over saturated market of subscription boxes, PMS Bites stands out. Concept? Just what it sounds like–sweet treats for that time of the month. But this ain’t your convenience store emergency carton of Ben & Jerry’s. PMS Bites are gluten-free, all natural, vegan chocolate bites delivered to your doorstep just in time for the mean reds. Because chocolate and periods go together like candy canes and Christmas {sorry fellas}, right? But hey, what’s up, didn’t know this–sugar is actually TERRIBLE to turn to during your period. These will help satisfy your cravings, while also doing their part to reduce bloating, cramping, and other PMS symptoms. Buy ’em once, or subscribe and save.
Santorini Sundays at Doretta Boston // Yeah sooo I just found the best kept brunch secret in Boston, and flaming rosé is involved. Doretta’s Taverna & Raw Bar is bringing a little taste of Santorini to Back Bay this month with its Sunday brunch series, featuring an exclusive brunch and rosé menu, fashion show, and DJ every week between noon and 5. I’m not picky at all when it comes to outdoor dining options in Boston–I’d eat stale trail mix for dinner if it meant getting to do so on a patio–but this little Park Plaza gem really is something special. MJF and I brunched for two hours straight a couple weeks ago and would happily do it again. Anne Fontaine is this week’s fashion presentation, and LA Perla is up on June 19!
Papers & Presents // The newest pop-up shop at Chestnut Hill’s The Street, Papers & Presents was once a sweet little Wellesley-based stationery shop that is somuchmore than greeting cards and wine charms now. Say shello to meant-for-a-gallery prints. Bags and clutches. Dishes. Coasters. Jewelry boxes. Cocktail Napkins. Anything and everything that you could possibly monogram. You’d normally be able to track down Caroyln’s fun #goodiesonthego in her food stationary truck, Penelope, but hurry take advantage of its stationary {har har har} location at The Street until June 13!
Allison Cole Jewelry // I’m grateful that my niche puts many brands–especially jewelry–of the nautical vibe on my radar, but I haven’t been this excited about adding rope bracelets to my arm party since the early days of KJP. Here’s where I’m at now, but I’ve got my eyes on this guy + this one too. You can go right ahead and take 20% off your own purchase with code SHELLCHICD20!
AV-RA // Weren’t we just talking about athleisure? I’ve been a fan of A Ruby‘s super chic, crazy comfortable basics for a couple years, and now Avra is back with the newest addition to her brand:: a line of–equally chic–performance wear. Sweat-wicking, UPF 50+, NON SEE-THRU(!) fabric = worth every penny. You can shop it online, or visit her pop-up at Derby Street Shoppes in Hingham between now and June 30.
As always, all opinions expressed here are my own. Kisses, and happy weekend!

Seriously, how has no one ever thought of PMS bites?! Well, now that I’ve seen them, I need them.
