I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. I’m so done with pants.
Give me the dresses, the skirts, the rompers, the shorts. STAT.
Alas, there is snow outside today. So lately I’ve had to turn to one of my favorite tricks: spring layering with tights + gray sweatshirts.
Dress, H&M [similar 1; 2] | Gray Pullover, Ocean Drive [similar 1; 2] | Monogram Necklace via Etsy | Bow Ring, Kate Spade | Mini Transport Crossbody, Madewell | Tassel Key Chain, Design Darling | Tights, Express | Booties, Steve Madden [similar]
I have about five gray pullover pieces in my closet, and I still don’t consider that enough. I am constantly throwing these over dresses and rompers in the spring to hold me over until it’s actually warm enough to wear them on their own. And I know, I know– gray is hardly a spring color, but you’ll be surprised at how much in your closet it goes with.
And as for keeping those legs warm for a few more weeks, I live by my tights– Express for black, and Capezio for tan.

Do you have any tricks for weatherizing your spring clothes?

I find it impossible to look good in a sweatshirt and you pull it off really well.
Spring fashion is difficult because the weather can change at any point, so I always make sure my shoes are waterproof! That would be my one spring-time tip!

That sweatshirt looks so comfy! I can’t wait until it’s warm enough to go without tights!

I agree but all my tights have runs in them and I refuse to buy more at this point in the season! Although, I may have to 🙁

yes, I love layering! It’s a great way to basically double your winter wardrobe – my fave is also summer dresses worn with opaque tights, ankle boots and topped with a cardi or sweater. Love!

Down with pants! I’ve never been a fan of pants either (finding jeans that fit is a torturous process) so I’m fully on board with the skirts and tights. Also, gray sweatshirts are just as good as white t-shirts in my book—they can be dressed up or down in a heartbeat.
