My heart hasn’t fully been able to comprehend what happened in my beautiful city yesterday. The Boston Marathon is argued to be the biggest day of the year in this town. It’s a day about celebration, about charity, about springtime, about tradition, and about watching everything you’ve trained for pay off. I can’t express how thankful I am that my family and I are ok, and that all of my friends have now been accounted for. My deepest sympathies go out to the victims and everyone affected my yesterday’s events. I love Boston with every bone in my body, and I know we are going to come out of this even stronger.

We are so sad about what happened yesterday. Just seems so surreal. We just couldn’t believe that there had been an attack during the marathon. Thinking of you and your city and praying for everyone up there.

My Boston pride is greater today than ever before. I’ve never seen so many Celtics, Red Sox, and Patriots swag in Arizona. The Southwest is with you!

I know people are saying it, but I just can’t get over the symbolism in hitting the marathon. I keep thinking about how many people were running as a way to overcome personal tragedy…and then this struck. I am glad to know so many wonderful people who are safe here…you are among them. xoxo

What a day that was, a surreal day in Boston, for us all. But, staying true to our character, we remain strong for each other, for our City, and will rise above – giving love and support, conquering hate and evil.
