A couple of weeks ago, my mother and I dressed for High Tea at Boston’s London Cafe on Newbury Street. Located beneath the boutique hotel Royalton Suites, the tearoom was intimate and welcoming. It didn’t have quite the cute factor of other tea shops I’ve visited in the area, with their dainty floral china and knit cozies, but it did feel quite traditional.
Any Boston friends have recommendations for other good tea rooms in the area?

Looks like so much fun! My friend did high tea at the Blue Room at the Four Seasons for her birthday a couple years ago http://www.fourseasons.com/boston/dining/afternoon_tea/

I didn’t even know about this place!! Thanks for posting! There is a place in Waltham called the Tea Leaf, which does a great afternoon tea! I also love the Taj’s tea!
