Back in her well-to-do days, my grandmother had a few pieces of clothing custom made for her, this skirt being one of them. I love it because it just goes to show you how the styles all come back around. Can’t you picture this for sale at Anthropologie or ModCloth today? Maybe a bit more tailored, but I’ll work with what I’ve got 🙂 I also love wearing this old charm bracelet of hers:
It’s to commemorate a United Utilities service award from when she worked at Bell Telephone. Aren’t the little telephone charms the sweetest? The date engraved on the back of one is 5/27/68 (!!).
Dare I say that the charm bracelet is, um, charming?! And the skirt is lovely!
Totally loving the grandma skirt, the green is gorgeous Jen xoxo http://mystylisticlife.wordpress.com
Love the skirt but really love the bracelet!! So cute
SO CUTE! I adore the skirt and the bracelet. Both items could totally be sold at Anthro or Modcloth right now! You look beautiful.
Yeah, it is always funny to see how style comes back around. Your grandma was hip!! That skirt is amazing, and it’s so cool that it used to be hers.
I really like your style and you’re so cute! 🙂
Your grandmother has some great taste! And I love how styles go in and out of fashion – what was old always becomes new again! Reason enough for us lovers of fashion to keep all our clothes!
The combination of the green with white is gorgeous!
I love that skirt!!
My grandma has some GREAT jewelry that I just love. Maybe I should raid her closet too?
I heart your skirt! Such a great color!
Love the skirt and the charm bracelet. I think we may have yet another fashionista on our hands =)
OH..MY…GOSH! Obsessed! I love that look and how funny that you posted that charm bracelet and my post today was all about them!
I luv this outfit. The green of that skirt is perfect.
