I’m so excited you guys are doing this trip! I wish I blogged about Carmel, but we only stopped for the night! Highly suggest doing the drive along pebble beach if you can – it was well worth it and leads you to big sur and the famous bridge!! I also did a post about stops we made along the PCH that were nice. Finally this is sort of touristy, but the best way to see LA in a short amount of time, but we did the day in la tour and it was really good – smaller group and we saw ALL of LA in one day! I blogged about all of it!

i’m so excited for you! I have many suggestions. Drive down 1 for as far as you can. Get fried artichoke hearts from a random farm stand on the side of the road in between SF and carmel. you’ll see them. Shark Fin Cove in Davenport was a cute little side of the road cliff and well, cove with very few people. Pfiffer Big Sur state park was closed when I was there but I think it’s back open now. There’s a very cool waterfall I’m upset I didn’t get to see that I think you can get to with minimal hiking. Go to Sqirl in LA!! Also go to the flower district and market and buy flowers just for the hell of it because it’s cool and they’re cheap. Dinosaur Coffee in LA also. And I’m done. Have fun!
