Cloudy days, bright dresses.
Such a treat to share with you two of my favvvorite recent additions to my closet!
Last month I had the pleasure of working with my darling friend Kate and her employer, Ellie Kai. This custom clothing brand has mastered the art of making easy-breezy summer style still look polished and flattering, offering everything from wear-to-work pieces to wedding-appropriate cocktail and maxi dresses.
Concept is simple:: Everything is made-to-order and customized just for you. You choose your dress/skirt/top style, choose your fabric (all designed by founder Liz Hostetter!), and add some customizations– short, long or regular length? Trim color? Pockets or no?
Ok really it’s not that simple because making a DECISION is so dang difficult with all of the fun options! You know my first instinct was to order #myelliekai in navy, but it was hard to resist a gorgeous royal blue for summer’s patriotic weekends. I also can’t stop thinking about the Caroleen Halter Top, Sarah Dress, or Fallon Blouse.

And is there anything more glam to pair a floor-length dress with than statement earrings? I am on a total Lisi Lerch KICK right now. You’ve probably seen the Turquoise Tassels all across the fashion bloggernet [guilty myself– can’t resist an Audrey Hepburn moment!], but I love the pop these white ones give to all of my already-bright summer tops and dresses.

Love the dress! Totally agree about the bright blue- it’s gorgeous! And the background here doesn’t hurt either, nothing a beach side shoot can’t fix 🙂
