I think I’ve mentioned before how lucky I feel to work in a casual office, in terms of dress code. You’d think the biggest perk of this would be the allowing of jeans-to-work, but really what I love most is the chance to have fun and mess around with traditional work-wear pieces [like pencil skirts and heels] by adding playful touches, like a graphic sweatshirt, statement jewelry, and trendy prints.

What are you sporting to the office this fall? And I’m curious— if you must follow a business formal dress code, how do you insert your own personality?
After almost two years in the same work area, I’m finally getting around to personalizing my desk space. Fantastically priced Instagram prints from aptly named Prinstagram, sleek acrylic desk accessories from Design Darling, and other miscellaneous cutouts and prints posted to a bulletin board have cheered this place up in no time. My style is traditionally more vintage and rustic than the modern you’ll see here, but it’s a nice change with clean lines that keeps me focussed at work.
I am so excited + humbled to be featured on not one but two fabulous blogs today as a part of a fabulous new feature, Nine to Five!
Alex of the saga of a twenty-something and Shannon of the scribble pad have teamed up to bring you this new series set to inspire women of the working world. You can check out one of my go-to work looks over on Shannon’s blog, and read a little interview with me about work + style on Alex’s blog!
I do hope you enjoy, and thanks so much to these two lovely ladies for featuring me!
