Whether or not I have elaborate plans for New Year’s Eve, I always take great pleasure in picking out the perfect sparkly outfit to wear. Most years, I turn to H&M or Forever21, because as much as I adore sequins, I’ve never had the budget to spend too much on a dress I can only wear on a handful of glitter-required occasions. This little number from Lulu’s is a nice compromise– fit for a princess with a much prettier price tag! The classic Kate Spade Charm shoes on the other hand…. well we can all dream right?
I go through different color-combination crushes often. You may remember it was navy blue + kelly green a few weeks ago, and right now it’s pale pink + gold. I’m thinking that means it’s Nutcracker season and all the ballet-inspired looks are getting to me…!
Wishing everyone a wonderful, safe, and filling Thanksgiving! xx
Blazers and sundresses are kind of my new favorite thing. Since I am just done wearing pants [considering it is May and should be averaging 73 degrees instead of 55], I’m forced to stay bundled up on top.
Anyone else struggling with this “spring” weather??
I’ve had a total crush on pink and gold lately, and it’s been the perfect excuse to break out The Chanel Ring.
It’s by no means straight out of the jewelry department… it’s actually just an old button from a Chanel suit that some craft angel turned into a ring. I found it in a tiny vintage store in Florence when I studied there a few summers ago. It’s way too big and might have cost me a few euros more than I should have paid, but where else am I going to find something like this? It’s the one-of-a-kind pieces I can justify spending just a tiny bit more on. Plus whenever I wear it I’m instantly transfered back to standing on the Ponte Vecchio bridge that summer day
Also, side note: that blazer has shoulder pads. Forever 21… the 80s called and… well, you know.
