Flamingo Lingo

Flamingo Tiered Chiffon Dress, LC Lauren Conrad // Blazer, Forever 21 [similar 1; 2] // Pearls, J.Crew // Bracelets, LC Lauren Conrad; Glitter Box Jewelry; // Shoes, Mariana by GOLC [similar]

I’ve developed a new love for a certain long-legged pink bird lately, seen in the LC Lauren Conrad dress above, as well as this Lilly skirt. Is it possible to not feel happy while flamingos adorn your clothing? Don’t think so.

I bought this Sibyl Vane purse years ago when my family visited Argentina. Only recently did I realize it matched perfectly with not only my bright minty heels, but also this florette necklace from a darling little Etsy shop.

What do you think– too much?

Candy Coated

So guess who simply missed the fact that yesterday was the first day of spring?

This girl.

But I’m making up for it today by highlighting my favorite spring trend: pastels! Shocker huh? I simply cannot get enough of ‘em. Though in an effort to not buy an entirely new spring wardrobe, I’m trying to give into only mostly accessories this season.

1. Sweetheart Sunglasses, Urban Outfitters // 2. iPhone Case, Stella & Dot // 3. Color Block Bucket Bag, ASOS // 4. ‘To Buy or Not to Buy’ Nail Polish, Essie // 5. Color Block Bow Belt, ASOS // 6. Portable Patisserie Ring, ModCloth // 7. A Little Owl Told Me Earrings, ModCloth // 8. Metro Watch, Kate Space // 9. Pink Leather Heart Purse, Topshop // 10. Triple Wrap Bracelet, Lalucca // 11. Platform Sandal, Zara // 12. Court Show with Metal Toe Cap, Zara // 13. Castro Mint Sunglasses by A.J. Morgan, Ruche

Are you sporting pastels this spring, or has it become too trendy for you?

New Shoes and Packing Woes

Happy Friday you all!

You might notice from above. That I finally. Got. THE SHOES.

I deliberated forever and finally realized I couldn’t go on without them. So I clicked buy on these Mariana by GOLC babies without looking back.

And then they didn’t show up.

UPS seems to have gotten a little confused while delivering them.  I found them two days after I received notice that they had “been delivered” …two doors down on the steps to a laundry room.

Clearly my address is a laundry room.

But no matter, I have them now and adore them! I paired them with an ancient linen skirt from Old Navy and a plain white tank from H&M, plus my trusty J Crew pearls.

I also must give props to the customer service team at Endless Shoes. They offered to send me a new pair before we were even sure that they were lost. Problem was I had ordered the last ones in my size…!

Now on a different note, I have a question.

I know I have too many clothes. It’s not even that I’m a total excessive shopper (just a bit of one), it’s more that I just hate getting rid of pieces (because, like that Old Navy skirt, sometimes I find great uses for them much later!). But how do celebrities and stylists, who have more clothing than I’m sure they know what to to with, do it? I guess their Hollywood Hills homes are equipped with oversized walk-in closets, but how do they pack during moves? Because I am in the midst of moving out of my apartment and I am at a total loss as to a) how to organize my packing without needing a truck just for dresses and b) where I am going to put it all when I get to my new place with a much smaller closet…

Any advice??

The minty green shoes!!

Ever since this post I’ve become obsessed with finding mint green shoes as close to that J Crew pair as I can.

I found some…

Samantha Sandal, Mariana by GOLC, $135

BUT I do not trust myself to select the right size without trying them on, and that kills me!  Plus half of the reviews say they run small and half say they run large.  And they’re a lot of monies.

I’m at a loss for what to do.

Anthroholic look what you’ve done to me by posting those!! :)
