Oscars 2013

I like to think that if I were ever to be awarded an Oscar for goodness-knows-what, or famous enough just to be walking the red carpet, I would stick to my roots. We talked about wearing a Free People gown to awards shows here, and I’d love to dress this simple number up with a nautical statement necklace and some signature gold bangles.

PROM

No, I’m not going. I may look young but believe it or not I am past this time in my life. BUT my little brother is going to his senior prom this weekend! One thing I miss about high school is all of the excuses I had to dress shop. I couldn’t resist keeping my eye open on some semi-formal/formal styles this month, with all of the prom glory in the air. So just in case you do have an event to attend, here are some of my favorites. And sorry, but I’ve just always been bias to short dresses– even at prom (see below for the short full skirt–we called it the cupcake dress)!
