Because I one-hundred percent believe in lightening the load when warm weather arrives! Just as you shed your layers, shed that big ‘ol tote while you’re at it. My favorite clutches for this spring + summer::
I’ve always been a bit of a bag lady. When I was younger, I told people I wanted to be Kate Spade when I grew up. While I haven’t gone on to become a purse designer (yet at least!), I have such admiration for those who are. Meet Sarah from Sew Sarah R, whose pages upon pages of clutch designs have me drooling.
Totally customizable, from the fabric [ exterior + lining! ], to a personalized label inside, to monograms or other stitching on the outside, these clutches make such perfect gifts— especially for bridesmaids! Get your right-hand ladies matching ones, or coordinating colors, and add a chain if you want to make sure their hands are free for bouquets! Getting a big or little in your sorority this semester? Treat them with their letters on a clutch in your house’s colors.
I know should my wedding day ever come, I’ll be treating my bridesmaids to these— and maybe another for myself!
Sarah is offering my readers 10% off clutches from her Etsy shop with the code Shell, or if you buy from her website, you can enjoy free shipping until August 19th! Can’t wait to see what you all pick out

Back to the grind everyone! After the cheer of Christmas is over, I find it hard to keep up motivation before spring comes around again. That goes for a few things, but most of all, for dressing. Working in a particularly chilly office with a casual dress code, it’s easy to slip into the trap of jeans, cardigans, and [forgive me] Uggs on a daily basis. My goal for January is to take advantage of tights, cute but not too casual sweaters, and warm riding boots [not pictured…].
How are you planing to stay warm, but chic, throughout the rest of the winter months?
